Buzzard on the lookout

Quite by chance I spotted this Buzzard perched on top of the quarry as I walked by with the dog.  I thought at first it was a Red Kite but when it flew away I saw the tail was rounded and not forked.  It was a fine and sunny afternoon, but with a cold wind again.  Mr C was not feeling himself, having had a rough night - he has a nasty cough and so it is off to the doctor again tomorrow to see what is wrong.  I walked a little further on my own with Roo and just missed a photo opportunity when a C-130 Hercules flew really low overhead - naturally the camera was not ready.  Nothing new there.
