A Human Politician

Definitely not my best photo today, but the one that says most about the day - the annual Lent lecture by our local MP - his chosen subject (out of the topics he was given) was "What positive contributions can churches make to the tasks of politicians?" (Thought this photo was amusing because it looks like we're crucifying him, but we weren't, honest.)

I also thought he was much more humble, human, and nuanced than the last two years - actually warmed to the guy.

Afterwards, some of us went to the pub and chatted over what he'd said, among other things.
