Sculpture from the forest floor
On the way back from Nelson we took the inland route through the Moutere and called at the Icon Gallery & Sculpture Park. In the middle of the countryside it is always changing with artists in residence and new exhibitions every few weeks. This installation I can blip as it appeared in the newspaper. The young woman who built it is from Saskatchewan on a five week grant and has done various works around the ten hectare property. They are all from natural materials and are out in the forest or field changing each day. This one is made from branches from the forest floor behind it.
