Unfurling.....

In my garden these little beauties arrive during the last few days of summer and the onset of autumn. It is the tiny bud of a Japanese anemone tilting its head towards the sun as it gently unfurls. 

The mornings have been cooler this last week and the dew much heavier but the days have mostly been graced with clear blue skies and warmer temperatures.

Daughter E and I spent some time chatting at the dining table in the sun before she headed to work and then I promptly got on with house jobs. It was lovely to have the day at home today and even better the weekend is here!
