Warrior Point
On a quick visit to nearby St. Helens to run errands, we stopped by the river (Columbia) to see about a blip. Not much activity there, just some seagulls preening on a log. Behind them is the northern most point of Sauvie Island, called Warrior Point. This island is over 16 miles long, 6,5 miles wide, and is one of the largest river islands in US. The island's rich soil produces various crops. There is also wildlife areas for migrating birds to winter over.
I've always liked the name Warrior Point.
