A repurposed tripod

I bought a load of old photographic equipment in a local auction for £21. Amongst the projectors, cine cameras, and old film was this tripod.

After a bit of lateral thinking - and a few pounds spent on old-fashioned braided cable and a bulb holder - it's now being used in the dining room as a floor lamp.
