And Here It Is...

...my home made bird feeder - in true 'Blue Peter' fashion. Sadly no sticky backed plastic involved!

An empty 1 litre mixer bottle - holes drilled in the 'feet' to allow water out. A barbecue skewer pushed through to form the perches. Two little letterbox holes cut above the perches (3 sides cut and the flap folded back up inside the bottle)

Filled up using a funnel, and suspended from the tree using garden wire. 'Mark I' version was tied with string - but it kept spinning round which, although the birds didn't seem to mind, was a nightmare for focussing!

Ground feeding birds (and Finlay) pick up any bits that drop out.

Here a blue tit has extracted a sunflower seed.
