spring.....

walking through the garden i saw this tiny bud with these beautiful red tentacles... bursting forth on the contorted hazel bush .......the whole bud is about 1/2 cm...I have never seen it before.....

i found it amazing that such a tiny burst of bright colour catches the eye.....

I made the best of the sunny morning....had coffee and cake in the garden and nearly an hour soaking up the sun.....

what a way to end a busy week....
