Year Three

Had to go.

Well, this is the first moment this old Lincoln had been in the sunlight for 7 years.

It belonged to the previous tenant, who had decided to keep it in the garage until he saw a Rent sign go up at the property. Figures. But he got told firmly, it needed to go this week as we already have a tenant for the house. If it didn't go, it was being moved to the right of way, and he could collect it from there at his leisure.

So today he came over to get the car ready. I offered to tow it to make things easy for everyone. But.....after dragging the car out of the garage it had no brakes - surprise surprise. So it was towed very very slowly to a house round the corner, a friend of his.

Unfortunately, the house round the corner is next door to our house. So we get to look at it for a bit instead lol.

Still the F250 surprises me. It towed the Golf up some ramps (you know the metal ramps to work under the car) purely on idle, which was impressive, and it towed this Lincoln at below walking pace on idle as well. And still felt like if I floored the throttle the Lincoln would experience an acceleration it never felt under it's own power back in the day.
