Wellington
Wellington stands proudly mounted on his favourite horse on Round Hill in Aldershot, the home of the British Army.
He moved here in 1885 when traffic congestion at Hyde Park Corner forced him to dismount his original position to make way for the expansion of the road.
Nothing changes does it?
He is very proud to live here now, under the direct care of the Army.
It is a very fine statue, and absolutely enormous when you stand underneath. I wonder if they gallop around the park at night?
