The pictures...

Went to see Whiplash (the movie, that is) last night. Excellent.
I haven't seen a film that engaged me that much for a long time. It explores similar themes to Black Swan (the one with Natalie Portman), which I also rate very highly.
There's a scene where the lead character (played by Miles Teller) admits to his potential girlfriend "Well, I still go to the movies with my Dad", at which point my 26-year-old daughter who's sitting next to me says "mmmmm, so do I!" ;-)
