Today was "Dress Like a Book Character" day at school. These ladies are our spirited and creative 2nd grade teaching team.

Quinn has a play date this afternoon and, boy, is he looking forward to it!

This morning he confirmed that the play date is today. I asked him who it is with and he said, "Tyler." He followed with, "he's a good guy."

So sweet.

He's been having some risidual coughing at night and first thing in the morning. I asked him if he was ok and he asserted that he is not sick and on his play date, if he gets the urge, he will "cough into his basket." That's his elbow.

Clearly, this play date is very motivating to him as he has been known to feign illness in an attempt to skip school when he'd rather stay home and watch videos or play with his train set

And, speaking of good guys, my husband is one of the best.
