Carlo Petrini in Edinburgh

This is not the best photo, but the best of what I could capture! Carlo Petrini, Slow Food Founder and President has been in Edinburgh for the last few days discovering the foods that Scotland has to offer.

He gave a passionate speech about needing to eat our wonderful food, not export it; to connect with our farmers and seek out local produce, how we, the over nourished, should help those who are undernourished

Apparently he met our First Minister to discuss issues, but wasn't sure she "quite got it".
