Back on Äkäskero summit

After yesterday's photo technical disaster, we ventured back onto the same hill to explore some more. The route was now very easy (thanks to some kind people who broke the trail on the day before) and the wind had eased a bit and the visibility improved somewhat.

This shot is taken looking south along the spine of Äkäskero. Ylläs fell is spotlit by the sun in the background and Lainio tunturi is showing on the left.

We had a curious effect today where the cloud deck was being underlit by the reflection off the snowy hills. The clouds over the trees were showing dark and gloomy by comparison.
