I'm a Queen get me Outa Here!
A work colleague brought some queen bees in today for me to blip. As a keen honey producer he wanted to give me an oppertunity to do some serious insect macro stuff. But as they were kept in miniture (white) cages, it was difficuilt to get the exposure right in the sun light. Plus in terms of "staying still" they were a little on the restless side. I guess it didn't help with me constantly moving the cage about to get the best shooting position! Great learning curve - this year's queen bees are marked yellow (painted dot on the back) in a 5 year ratation system.
Looking forward to tasting his honey soon......
