SIXTY and FABULOUS....

.... was the motto for the "surprise" 60th for Lynda.

An old work colleague, and her lovely family wanted to have a surprise party for friends and family. They had a family dinner last week on the Birthdate. 

As you know trying to organise a surprise like this can be both fun and an issue to keep "it quiet"!! That's where Kevin her husband came up with the plan?

The plan was Wendy and I would send an invite to Lynda and Kevin to join us for our 45th wedding anniversary, close but not quite (in fact 44th this year) but we felt it needed a sort of "special ring" to it!!

Anyway, she took the bait "hook line and sinker" and arrived at the venue with all the family and friends in side, and as the door opens of course.... SURPRISE!!

Even bought us a card! Now want so get me back, as I was always playing tricks on her when working....

Of course a top night, and the daughters and family had done a top job of the decos.... in the picture also you will see her son dress sort of like Elton John one of Lynda's favourites. He came out like this "as a surprise of course" and pumped out a tune on the key board to one of EJ's tunes.

Oh.... and by now you would have heard we (the Aussie's) lost the cricket game to New Zealand yesterday! Damn, but what a game, we were going to be hammered, after batting poorly (went from 1 for 86 to all out 151) then NZ were set to win easily and it ended with a rapid fall of wickets to 9 out and they needed 6 runs in last over. Bam, a six and they win by one wicket!!! 
Super entertainment if you enjoy cricket.... a bore if you do not, but a top sporting feature.
