Leg Stretching for a Birthday Boy
9, yes, NINE today. Can't believe he is so tiny and 9 years old today.
We don't know his real birthday of course, being a rescue with no paperwork etc.
We got Foxy early March 2009 after our Son and Daughter-in-Law rescued him from a house in Birmingham where he was surrounded by much bigger dogs (not difficult really) and had to fight for his food, which would explain his aggressive behaviour to other dogs when we got him.
He wasn't a very nice little dog, apart from to humans and children to whom he was lovely. Any dog on sight, even if it's 200 yards away in the park, he would race across and try to attack them yapping (it's not really barking) and trying to chase them away.
It took a couple of years to socialise him at a dog training school but it pays off - Today he was off the lead and a bouncy dog came along barking at him. The dog stayed about 10-15 feet away and Foxy pretty much ignored him, now that is amazing when you consider what he was like.
He's a lovely, friendly, affectionate little dog, and we love him very much.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOXY
In the photo he's is stretching his legs, which he does after he has had a wee. I won't tell you what Jonty is doing!!
