Ouch!

We've been in York now for 24 hours and in that time I've had two visits to the A&E department at the hospital and one trip to the NHS walk in centre. In total that's counted for about eight hours of the 24.

All because of this toe. It's Ruby's not mine by the way!

A week ago this toe was crushed under the kitchen door and although it's behaved itself until now it decided to wait until we were on the train on the way to York for a few days before it started to throb, and turn a funny colour and before long the pain was too much.

Ruby is now on heavy duty antibiotics and pain killers to deal with a bad infection and told she can't walk for the next week. So instead of walking aroung The Jorvik Centre and the York Minster she'll be lying on a sofa with her foot in the air watching the telly.

Probably did it deliberately, the things kids will do to avoid a bit of culture!
