great crested grebe...

I had an amazing encounter with great crested grebes today. I was watching 2 of them - which is wonderful enough as it is - then a 3rd came along and there followed a quite ferocious battle with noise, wings, water and so on. This one was the 'interloper' and had full battle gear out on display....stunning!
