You can just about see Austria

Skied across to the area SW of Selva / Wolkenstein this morning, part of Val Gardena. This is a view from where lifts from S. Cristina / St. Christina join the Sellaronda.

We almost got lost. Just when I thought we would have to carry on clockwise, I saw a sign that would take us back. It didn't say it was via a very slow Poma lift.

Made it back to Canazei in plenty of time for lunch courtesy of a red run for expert skiers. Very fast and very enjoyable.

The afternoon was spent around Canazei and Arabba. Almost got stuck on the Arabba slopes as the gondola up to Porto Vescovo stopped for about 20 minutes. The alternative route to get back would have involved taking the cable car or an older chairlift, accessible only by skiing down in to Arabba down some steep and icy runs. By the time we had done a small blue, everything was back up a running.
