Costa Rican Jinetes

Caught a local fiesta in the evening, including a bit of a rodeo. It's the equivalent of our agricultural fairs, I suppose, but with tons more people, more lively music, and great smelling foods.  

Loved observing people there. Kids, especially girls or very young ones, were dressed prettily, with ribbons and colorful outfits; young women tended to the sexy (and carried it off rather well), and men of all ages were prancing around in cowboy boots and checkered shirts. Everyone knew everyone else and greeted one another with effusion or little waves of the hand from further away. 

Nice cap off a day spent at the beach with our friends. Great sunset and I almost posted another shot of that. I'll cross post these to Flickr once I get a hold of a faster internet connection. For now, a dip into the lovely pool :)
