Water avens

Just across the garden pond from yesterday's poppy. (No that isn't the pond where I blip the swans, ducks etc etc)

Also took some photos of a pigeon, which raised the question in my mind on the philosophy of photography and the orthodoxy of ornithology: What makes a pigeon a less worthy subject than a puffin or a peregrine?
