Wellington

This is Wellington. He is a new arrival at our little yard. He is rising 4 and very gorgeous. He arrived 2 weeks ago as an ex-racehorse with the name Copenhagen. A friend pointed out that Copenhagen was the name of the Duke of Wellington's war horse which he rode at the Battle of Waterloo. Very quickly, Copenhagen was changed to Wellington which has now been shortened to Welly.
He's settling in very nicely and has gone from being a bit nervous and spooky to a bit of a soppy gent in the space of a fortnight.
