Virgin and child
Sunday
Despite the grey weather, Roger and I had a good walk in the Rochers de Mont Ussy area of the Forest this afternoon - an area we hadn't particularly explored before. Besides the usual range of striking rock formations, we came across this painting of the Virgin and child on one of the rock faces, painted in 1954 by Casolaine and Rolland. It was located to the right of the path and fairly high up, and Roger actually walked right past it without noticing it, but fortunately I was more observant!
