First day of Spring

Well it's the first day of spring in the meteorological season. It has come in abit like a lion with strong winds last night that remained quite strong during the day. Frequent showers with so hail stones and sun in between.
Spent the morning painting the porch and while we waited for the first coat to dry we went for a drive round to Cromarty and back down the Eathie Road. We did see a rainbow but not a very bright one. The little tree that has been one of my favourites is no longer there, unable to withstand the strong winds any longer :( Still lots of trees down and it looks like the Learnie Bike track is closed at the moment as trees have been cut down blocking the way.
We spotted the buzzard like we always do but it was away before I could take a picture.
Mike spotted these snowdrops along a driveway and I quickly took a photo. It almost looked like snow as there were so many. Unfortunately the lighting was nt too great a the time .
It's now pouring with rain and windy. I do nt mind as hopefully March will go out like a lamb.
Correction - it's now snowing !
