Run Mummy Run. Well, post run actually. +1/2 instructed me to run a cold bath into which she then got. Nutter. It's all part of the training for her first half marathon in a fortnight...
Another busy day and the weather was good enough that the grass got its first cut of the year. Pancake making, bike fettling (finished adding the mudguards, changed the back cog to a smaller one to get a more usable range), grass cutting, putting up a washing line, tantrum sorting out, risotto cooking, Top Gear watching.
Speaking of changing the back cog: with a hub gear bike this is not quite as simple as it sounds: with the alfine hubs there's a tricky little split ring that you need to get on and off to actually release the cog, then you need to remove some links from the chain (and hope it's not a half-step as otherwise you need a.. uh.. half-step chain), setup the chain tension again (actually a little tight now) and reset the brakes (because the wheel will have moved slightly in the dropouts).
Weird old sky this evening as the combination of sunset and a thunderstorm collided.
Music for today was largely Led Zeppelin (because they've just added then to Deezer) but also some Royal Blood. C'mon, you know you love it.
