'Dickie windpump'
Worked hard in the morning and early afternoon on a home decoration job.
Rewarded later with a trip to the museum for rural life with my mum, coffee, chat and a blip hunt.
So, pictured is the Dickie windpump, designed and produced by William Dickie in the late 1800s. It ingeniously draws water and drills holes, essential for farmers, and its success made William Dickie one of the most famous sons of East Kilbride.
According to the wee board next to it. We don't just drink coffee and eat cakes on these trips y'know ;-)
