Albany Flowering Gum

Ours turned out to be dark pink instead of the desired bright orange, however it doesn't matter as it is still greatly favoured by the birds and bees. Once known as Eucalyptus ficifolia in 2009 the name changed to 
Corymbia ficifolia after DNA analysis revealed that it was more related to the Western Australian Corymbia than the Eucalypts. Since they are grown from seed mainly. the colour can be hit and miss - I did plant an expensive 'guaranteed orange  produced from cell culture a few years ago, but the sheep ate it. Now another more barricaded seedling is forging skywards to suprise me with it's colour in the future
