Sentinel

This stoat ran past me in a great hurry, kicking up small stones on the track as it went, such was its haste. It seemed to realise that it may have passed something that wasn't inanimate, and it turned up a small bank and paused to look back in my direction. It eventually decided that discretion was the better part of valour, and ran off into the dense undergrowth to escape. Luckily I managed to get the picture before it did.
