Nor’west Light

When the nor’west arch is very low over the mountains, as it was this evening, in the few minutes that the sun is crossing the gap it throws out a rich golden light that transforms everything it touches. The sky is dark and the shadows deep, but bits of landscape, random trees or plants glow as though the light is beaming from them. This old Angelica seed head was graced tonight.
