Shrine of St Richard
I had a wonderful day in Chichester with my friend and fellow blipper R4T.
We walked the city walls and had a look inside Chichester Cathedral.
From 1276-1538 (when it was destroyed) the shrine of St Richard attracted pilgrims from all over England. In 1930 an altar was installed on the site of the shrine.
The tapestry was partly made in Germany and also at West Dean College, West Sussex. The Chalice in the centre is one of the symbols of St Richard.
