Monday
Dropped the old pram off this morning; no more babies. Not the best thing to do when you are hormonal and have just left a crying Master B at school.
Stormy today and perishingly cold. Alan struggled on the scaffolding, but still grafted on. Lots of respect for the man. The grout he's grinding out has taken 6 working days so far and countless blades. The job in hand has developed somewhat with the discovery of a hidden gutter.. Wonders never cease!
Yesterday we unpacked four large boxes of kitchenalia. We'd survived the last 3 years without the contents but sorting through it all was like greeting old friends. Amazing what you can live without! Some was chucked, some to the charity shop and the rest was shoe horned into the cupboards. The prize of the forage was a superbly kitsch salt and pepper set a Great Aunty of mine sent us from Canada when we got married (along with a blue garter!) It's now pride of place on display (the garter was binned years ago). Those two bunnies gave me lots of smiles today!
Family Science at school this evening. All about surface tension, Ph levels and sound movement. These are the youngins with the red-cabbage-acting-as-Ph-indicator experiement. Lots of fun!
