No beginning

When there is no clear beginning, what is the best method to choose a starting point? Random guess? Luck? Trial and error?

What if it is something more important than a peg board display? What if it is choosing the beginning of a relationship, or choosing the beginning of ending a relationship? Then what? Then how do you begin?

What if every day you feel your hope seeping through these holes, feel the very life being squeezed out of you. If you are broken and lay in ruins, what does hope have to be stored in? What if the very words of Christ yelled out from the torment of the cross, "why have you forsaken me?" are the very words being cried out from your heart?

Isaiah tells us that the Lord our Maker will be our husband, that though he may have for a moment turned His face from us; He will gather us with great compassion and His promises will never be taken from us.

So what happens then, when the great hope, spoken forth in the words above, can barely get me to life my head off the pillow in the morning? What happens then...when hope starts to seem hopeless?
