Male Mallard Duck

The gears on the bike are a bit ropey on the way to work. Must service it at the weekend. Hopefully it'll be OK for tonight's dash to get a birthday cake for partner.

Lunchtime is cold and grey again. Just wandering along the river, the light is a bit low. Pictures of the Moorhen come out a bit blurry as it is moving a bit too fast.

Further on this Mallard isn't moving at all, protecting his mate. So I am able to get a good photograph of him while he sits on the water.

The evening commute is race against heavy rain, not easy with a wrecked chain. Got home, get pannier, cycle off to get cake, cycle home. Made it. Even managed to wipe down chain before rain starts.
