The stalker

This is my first ever photo of a Grey Heron. It was a misty morning and this is a cropped shot - he knew I was there and flew off soon after I took this.
There's loads of life in the ponds in the forest at the moment and it must be rich pickings for these birds right now.
I am sure I can get a better shot of one - maybe next time.
