I tried a technique today whereby you photograph the same spot for a few minutes and then use the startrails app to average them together and overtime, even in really busy places, people fade away.

I could have done with a little longer, but it was bloody freezing and I kept thinking the camera might blow off the ledge.  Interestingly though there were so many people crossing the bridge thats just averaged to brown hair colour!
