Night and Day

Before heading for bed (after midnight) I saw the snow had been falling again with a vengeance. So I decided to try a slow exposure by steadying the camera against the open window strut.   At one second this was fine. 

 I have also done some basic colour manipulation as the foreground was lit by a street lamp. However there was a lighter cloud sweeping across the sky which differentiated from the clear dark sky which made it more photogenic,  and the lights of Milngavie twinkle in the distance. So yesterday was not my last snow blip after all!

I could not resist adding in a day shot as it was still snowing when I awakened. This must be the last snow shot surely.!
