Sunflower

It's the first year I've grown sunflowers and they've been reasonably successful. The heads are huge and the stems tall, but they seem to only like looking at the neighbours house. I planted them facing east thinking they would turn their heads as the sun moved round, well the sun moves but their heads stay still, it is most frustrating!

Still bright and cheerful when our sky is mostly grey, I wonder if the birds and bees will be interested in these heads, time will tell.

A tiny bit of rain overnight, it was mostly gone by morning so nothing substantial to relieve the drought conditions. A day spent mostly at home just catching up with house jobs as you do!
