Geese in the fog

Kirkwall was foggy but I thought it might be clearer on the east coast of Deerness. It wasn't. Walking from Lighthouse Corner down to Skail I could hear the mournful singing of seals from the foggy sea. Birds, both domestic and wild seemed uneasy at the conditions. The fog stayed very thick until I was on the way back after two o'clock.

Hopefully any fog tomorrow morning will burn off quickly as I am off to the tiny island of Auskerry.
