Pretty but spiky!
We were melting yesterday so decide to do our exploring earlier and head into town. We discover that, it being Saturday, most of the attractions are actually closed but we do manage to make it to the infamous dinosaur museum. Its a really small old fashioned place but the curator is enthusiastic and shows us round and its interesting. Even the tourist information is closed and we can’t find out about trekking although we have actually come to the conclusion that its probably too hot anyway and it doesn’t seem like there's much going on so its probably out of season.
We’re aware that we’ve not really done a great deal since being in Laos. We’re slightly underwhelmed by it so far although there has been some stunning scenery. Its well known for being laid back so we’ve just got to go with the flow.
We’re heading south tomorrow to Pakse and from there to the Bolaven Plateau and then to the 4000 Islands so we’re hoping its going to get more interesting.
The photos of the dinosaur museum weren't the most interesting so here are some very spiky flowers ... these are everywhere in Laos ... lethal!
