Carrog Bach Cottage North Wales
We are lucky enough to be staying in this beautiful cottage in North Wales for the weekend. I believe that the cottage dates back to late 1700, early 1800 hundred making it at least 200 years old.
Information from the 1859 Census informs us that a lady called Margaret Jones occupied the cottage in 1851. She was an 86 year old widow and pauper.
The cottage is literally built into the side of the mountain. From the front garden/decking, you can see the Dee River. Alongside the river runs the Llangollen Steam Railway. It was wonderful to hear the whistle of the steam train as it came through the valley. Unfortunately, I was not prepared and missed a wonderful blip. Hopefully, I will capture a picture tomorrow.
I struggled to decide which of my pictures to blip tonight, but decided to show you the cottage. Tomorrow may be a picture of the steam train or perhaps sitting in the hot tub looking out at the wonderful view.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the weather.
