Several Shades of Grey
I haven't read the Fifty Shades books and I hadn't thought of going to see the film.
But at 1030am this morning I found myself in Cineworld, drinking a huge cup of tea in Starbucks waiting for Mrs L!
It felt like we were playing truant - buying tickets for an 18 certificate sex film at 11 o'clock in the morning. I felt quite giddy!!
We weren't the only deviants there that early, there was a smattering of other middle aged ladies.
And one very elderly woman who hobbled in with a pair of sticks and sat in front of us. I couldn't help wondering if she was in the wrong film.
She wasn't! Well she stayed for the whole film at any rate!!!
I was surprised at how much better it was than I was expecting and how much I enjoyed it.
I'm quite looking forward to the next one!!
It was a bit disconcerting coming out of the cinema and discovering it was still light. Only lunchtime in fact!
I felt jetlagged for the rest of the day!
I had an eerie experience in the carpark before and after the film. It was incredibly windy and I can't begin to describe the noises the wind was making through the car park. It was so musical - like a choir and an orchestra singing and wailing and whistling.
I've never heard anything like it. It was otherworldly.
Amazing!
