Murder of the Myrtle
On this foggy morning we see the same heavily pruned shrub that held the mourning dove nest (still visible) last summer. Crepe Myrtle's are described as the Lilac of the South but they tend to bloom only on new wood. Many heavily prune the plant as a result but such drastic pruning is considered murder by others. In this case the shrub/tree is too close to the house and must be kept under control.
