Orkney Day 1

Very early start (4.15am) and a very long drive up Scotland in the fog to get to the ferry taking us to Orkney at 1.00pm. TSP did very well driving for so long and on so little sleep. Arrived at Orkney at around 2.30 and started exploring right away! It is as peaceful as I had hoped, with lots of cows and sheep everywhere. The cottage we are staying in as lovely and cosy and this evening we had a hearty meal and are just about ready for bed. Looking forward to this weeks adventures!
