Shadows...

... between snowy showers.

It is never as easy as it should be to take shots like this, there are always protuding shapes and shadows in the background - and, of course, you can't set about moving someone else's bike (even if you could unlock them).

I was so intent on composing the shot, I didn't notice the most annoying feature of the image, the white patches on the paving slabs. I assume these are the result of the aggressive treatment to remove the scourge that is chewing gum. (Ironically, from a photographic point of view, I would rather have to deal with cloning out the gum than those white patches.)
