Work expands to fill the time available

Or to put it another way - I have no idea how I found time to work full time and do the stuff that fills my days at the moment. I've nearly finished my marking; just the late submissions to do. I've done some washing and the washing up and run the vacuum round and read a good deal and had a walk and messed around with photographs and had a chat with a friend. How did I fit this around the whole nine to five plus loads of commuting?
