Redshanks Retreat

With the weather changing again by the minute I was not sure given how bad I felt if I would get a shot today.

The snow was heavy and as you can see even settled on the beach again, the wind came and went the sun did likewise and as it did so these usually busy Redshanks retreated to the lea of the in-shot near to where I too sheltered in the lea of the sea wall.  The wind buffeted them as the blue sky was being replaced with the next tumult of snow cloud and I beat a very hasty retreat over the short distance to the car feeling the worse for having dared to venture out.
