Necklace

I have been wondering how best to 'mount' my glass pieces so they can be wearable.  I saw this neck band in the shop at the Turner Gallery in Margate today and thought it might be worth trying to glue a small piece of glass to something like this?  But even at a reduced price, it's quite expensive if it looks awful, so I didn't buy it.
