Ninety Nine Steps

We decided that as we needed some more compost for potting things up we would kill two birds with one stone.  A trip to our favourite garden centre and check out one or two places for some possible blips on Saturday.

These steps run down from the station beside the viaduct ending at the River Eden.  At the top it just says footpath but when you get to the bottom (round a corner and out of sight in this shot)  the sign says Footpath to the station 99 steps.  Just what you need to know when you know how steep it was coming down!  This shot incidentally is looking down from the top.
