Shades Of Grey

I needed a long zoom to get a pic of this Grey Butcherbird so it's not the best of images.

It's an attractive looking bird though an agressive predator. They prey on small animals, including birds, lizards and insects, as well as some fruits and seeds. They sit on an open perch searching for prey which, once sighted, they pounce on; they can also catch small birds in flight.

It's warmer than average here in Brisbane, with 36 - 38C forecast in the next two days. That means rather a lot of staying indoors working with the aircon on.
